Portland, OR - One year after the passage of Donald Trump's Big Ugly Bill, Oregon seniors brace for impact as cuts to Medicare begin to go into effect. Trump's Big Ugly Bill repeals sections of the Inflation Reduction Act that allowed Medicare to negotiate on the price of certain high-cost prescription drugs.

Drazan has consistently failed to stand up for Oregonians receiving Medicare, instead siding with Trump as he attacks affordable prescription drug prices. Her record includes opposing the creation of the Oregon Prescription Drug Affordability Board, which creates greater transparency around price increases for life-saving drugs like insulin, and failing to speak out against Trump's Big Ugly Bill that creates higher prescription drug prices for Medicare recipients.

"Christine Drazan has refused to stand up for Oregon seniors against rising health care costs associated with Trump's Big Ugly Bill," said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz. "Not only that, but she opposed efforts to lower prescription drug costs in her time as a legislator. Oregonians literally cannot afford the failed health care policies being pushed by Republicans like Drazan and Trump."
