Reclamation announces summer operating hours at Stony Gorge Reservoir

ELK CREEK, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation announces summer operating hours at Stony Gorge Reservoir starting April 15, through October 15, 2026.

At this time, Stony Gorge Reservoir -will offer limited recreational openings with the Pines Group Camping Site and all general campsites are closed until further notice.

Stony Gorge Reservoir recreation areas that will be open include:

Skippers' Point Day Use Area - Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This day use area is available for fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and picnicking from sunrise until sunset throughout the year.

Slip Disc, Disc Golf Course - Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The disc golf course is open and available from sunrise until sunset throughout the year.

Pines Day Use Area - Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This day use area is available for hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, and picnicking from sunrise until sunset throughout the year.

Skippers' Point Boat Launch - Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This area will over the boat launch, restroom facilities, picnic tables and water access.
