Next Phase of Asphalt Overlay Program to Begin on Monday
Mobilization #4 of the 2026 Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) Resurfacing Project should wrap up next week.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, LL Pelling will begin work on Mobilization #5 of the 2026 HMA Resurfacing Project. Mobilization #5 includes the following streets:
- 35th Street from 7th Avenue to Jonquil Ct.
- 35th Street from 3rd Avenue to Grant Wood Trail
Construction will be completed on one half of the roadway at a time, with the initial work zone located in the east (northbound) lanes. During this first phase, southbound traffic will remain open. Flaggers will be present during working hours to assist traffic through the construction zone.
This phase of work is expected to take up to two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Additional notices will be sent as the project progresses to the opposite side of the roadway.
