Summer Drone Shows Scheduled at La Sierra and Fairmount Parks
Shows on June 17 and July 1 are part of the Summer Concert Series
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) is excited to announce two spectacular drone shows taking place this summer on June 17 and July 1 as part of the City's Summer Concert Series.
Community members and families are invited to enjoy evenings filled with live music, food, fun, a beer garden hosted by the Riverside Community Services Foundation, and an exciting aerial light show celebrating community pride, local culture, and the City's participation in America's 250th Anniversary celebration.
June 17 - La Sierra Park Drone Show
The summer festivities will kick off on June 17 at La Sierra Park with the Summer Concert Series beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a drone show at 9 p.m. This event is also part of the Local Vibes Initiative in partnership with councilmember Steve Hemenway, highlighting community engagement, local entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout Riverside.
The event also ties into the City's recognition of America's 250th Anniversary, bringing the community together through innovative and memorable celebrations.
Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy an evening of entertainment and community celebration. Early arrival is strongly recommended due to anticipated attendance and limited parking availability.
July 1 - Fairmount Park Drone Show
On July 1, the celebration continues at Fairmount Park immediately following the Summer Concert Series from 6-9 p.m. Guests will experience a dazzling drone light performance illuminating the night sky as part of the City's continued summer celebration and America 250 commemorative activities.
Early arrival is also recommended for the Fairmount Park event to allow guests time for parking and seating before the concert and drone show begin.
Both events are free, open to the public, and will have American Sign Language interpreters available. Drones show will kick off at the conclusion of the band performance around 9 p.m.
