Lasha Avaliani: "Animals should not be left directly at kindergarten entrances, although they may be returned to nearby areas."

Mr. Lasha Avaliani, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, spoke about the provision in the "Law on Domestic Animals" that regulates the return of animals to their original locations. According to the Deputy, the provision does not set a strict distance but indicates that animals should not be returned directly to the entrances of certain facilities, such as kindergartens.

"This provision does not set a strict distance requirement. The key point is that animals should not be left directly in front of kindergarten gates, although their return to nearby areas is permitted.

Moreover, there are always two sides to consider. For instance, returning an animal directly at a market entrance could result in a fine from the regulating authority, since the animal would be free to move within the premises. Proper regulation is needed in such cases ," noted Mr. Lasha Avaliani.

The Deputy Minister explained that such matters can be regulated more effectively not directly through the law, but via procedural documents and standard operating procedures, which clearly define the mechanisms for action.
