(February 9) In a meeting with staff to FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, NTCA outlined how proposed IP transition policies could impose disproportionate and unrecoverable costs on small, rural broadband providers, even as they continue to modernize their networks. NTCA estimates these mandates could drive tens to hundreds of millions of dollars in new industry-wide costs, raising concerns about affordability and universal service.
