Parkview Health named ‘Best and Brightest in Wellness’ for fourth consecutive year

Eighth time recognized since 2017

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - July 8, 2026 - Parkview Health has been named among the Best and Brightest in Wellness by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) for the fourth consecutive year and the eighth time since 2017.

Parkview is one of only 44 companies nationally to be recognized by the NABR in 2026.

Best and Brightest winners demonstrate an exceptional commitment to employee wellbeing, championing innovative programs and initiatives that foster a healthy, work environment. Their comprehensive wellness approaches include physical fitness initiatives, mental health resources, and financial wellness education, all designed to support the holistic wellbeing of their team members.

Winners are evaluated across multiple categories, including wellness culture, work environment, employee input, financial wellbeing, leadership commitment, and physical and mental health.

"Parkview's commitment to improve health and well-being applies to both our patients and our 17,500 co-workers across Indiana and northwest Ohio," said Dena Jacquay, chief administrative officer, Parkview Health. "Parkview's approach to well-being is driven by our co-workers, whose feedback helps shape the types of programs and benefits we provide. By connecting directly with our employees, we're able to create a workplace culture that works for them."

Parkview's in-house MyWell-Being department provides a variety of resources to support both their physical and mental health. Offerings include fitness programs and intramural sports; free access to the Calm mental health app; access to counseling programs; financial planning resources; 16 hours of Volunteer Time Off; in-person renewal workshops focused on building a solid foundation of self-care and personal wellbeing, allowing co-workers to find energy, vibrancy and fulfillment in their personal and professional lives; 24/7 access to the VITAL WorkLife app providing mental health and personal counseling support; and visits from Parkview Pups therapy dogs among many others.

Within the past year, Parkview has expanded its support for childcare - one of the most requested items by co-workers - with the launch of Backup Childcare to support parents in unexpected short-term situations and participation in a new "tri-share" cooperative with the Northeast Indiana Early Education Coalition that splits the cost of childcare three ways.

"Supporting our co-workers' wellbeing enhances their ability to provide care for their patients," said Dr. Ray Dusman, president, physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. "When our caregivers are healthy in both mind and body, they can fully focus on the needs of their patients. The investment in our people pays dividends in the quality of care they deliver."

Parkview's workplace culture has been frequently recognized among the best in Indiana and the nation. Parkview was named No. 5 overall among the Most Loved Workplaces in the U.S.; selected as the top nonprofit in North America in both 2025 and 2026 by Inspiring Workplaces Group; named a Forbes Best-in-State Employer for four consecutive years, and selected among Newsweek's Greatest Workplaces in Healthcare in 2025 and 2026. Parkview's retention rate remains over 90%, several percentage points better than the national average for healthcare employers.
