Vet Center Services Are 'No Cost'

The Vet Center services are "no cost". They do readjustment counseling and referrals for Behavioral Health, dealing with PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma, and other anxieties caused while on an active drill status, back from a combat zone, or using their military education funds to further education. They are part of the Department of Veteran Affairs, but have separate records that, 'by law', neither the VA nor DOD has access to. Soldiers that use their "no cost" services remain deployable because they are not patients. They are clients. They do not diagnose nor give out medications. They simply help them with proven techniques. They have staff that are veterans and combat veterans.

Reach out with drill weekends that they may come and give the 15-to-30-minute class as well as stay after to answer questions and even make dog tags at "no cost."

Vet Center has locations in Gary, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and South Bend. The main point of contact for services is Tom Clayton at [email protected]
