Courtney Marie Andrews has announced her new album Valentine, due out January 16, 2026 via Thirty Tigers. Written during a period of profound endings and new beginnings, the ten-song collection finds the Nashville-based, Phoenix-born musician transforming limerence into "luminous" (New York Times) strength. Recorded to tape at Valentine Recording Studios in Los Angeles, it is Andrew's most sonically explorative record yet, radiating with resilience as she traces the terrain between ache and renewal. Valentine is "a record in pursuit of love," says Andrews. "But love, it turns out, is a lot more than I gave it credit for." Across these tracks, Andrews captures both the fragility and ferocity of human connection, unflinching and vulnerable in her pursuit. The record resonates as a testament to transformation - a portrait of Andrews emerging from grief and pain, and standing in her wisdom on the other side."I was in one of the darkest periods of my life, and songs were the only way I could reckon with it."
With the announcement of Valentine, Andrew's has shared new song and music video "Keeper" - a tender exploration of what it means to be chosen, and to choose someone in return. "One night over dinner I asked my friend Kate if I was a keeper," says Andrews. "This question prompted a heartbreaking conversation followed by writing an entire song over a bowl of pasta. Our ultimate landing was that everyone is a keeper if they're truly in love." On the track, Andrews is joined by album co-producer Jerry Bernhardt (Ron Gallo, Yola) on twelve string acoustic guitar, bass, juno 60 and mellotron, along with drummer Chris Bear of Grizzly Bear.

Earlier this fall, Andrews offered a preview of the record with " Cons and Clowns " - which reflects on the times we're living in with profound empathy. It's both a rebuke of this emerging "scary world full of cons and clowns" and, as Stereogum put it, " a safety blanket of a single...with the most perfect timing " - h arnessing her signature sound and lyricism that "doesn't just tell us truths; but makes us feel them poignantly, and right on time"(NPR Music).
The new music arrives on the heels of Courtney's second collection of poetry via Simon & Schuster this summer, Love Is a Dog That Bites When It's Scared - furthering her work as an accomplished multidisciplinary artist across three different mediums: from music, poetry and her work as a visual artist . Her most recent studio projects were 2022's Loose Future, which Pitchfork described as "a shimmering piece of self-acceptance ," and 2020's Old Flowers which earned her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Americana Album. After a string of shows across Europe and the United Kingdom in February and March, Andrews will bring Valentine across the U.S. this spring, kicking off in Nashville and stopping in Austin, a hometown show in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and more.
