(COLUMBIA, MO) - Beginning Monday, Aug. 3, Capital Paving, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, will perform mill and overlay pavement maintenance on multiple streets throughout Columbia.
During the project, crews will mill away the worn top layer of asphalt and pave a new asphalt surface to improve the condition of the roadway.
Crews are expected to complete
work on Old Highway 63 by the end of the day Monday, Aug. 3, following weather delays, before beginning resurfacing on the following streets:

Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, weather permitting.
Temporary lane closures will be necessary while crews are working. Traffic control signs and flaggers will guide motorists safely through the work zones as needed. Drivers should use caution and consider alternate routes when possible.
On streets where parking is permitted, temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted at least 24 hours in advance. Please observe the dates and times listed on the signs to help crews complete the work safely and efficiently.
