Detectives Working Active Leads In Sunday's Fatal Shooting On Zermatt Avenue
Homicide Unit detectives are working active leads to identify the two gunmen involved in Sunday's 9:30 p.m. fatal shooting of Gavin Thompson, 34, in a Zermatt Avenue apartment complex. The preliminary investigation shows Thompson was approached by two masked men as he walked toward one of the townhomes.
Thompson attempted to return to his vehicle in the parking lot when the suspects chased him and physically assaulted him before shots were fired.
The suspects are seen on area surveillance footage entering the back seat of a black sedan as they fled.
Anyone with information on this fatal shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for up to a $5,000 cash reward in homicide cases.
