ICANN Publishes FY26 Audited Financial Statements

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has published its audited consolidated financial statements for fiscal year 2026 (FY26), which ended on 30 June 2026. ICANN also published the FY26 audited financial statements for its Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) affiliate.

The ICANN and PTI Bylaws each require the annual publication of audited financial statements. The FY26 audited financial statements are accompanied by an unmodified opinion from the independent audit firm Baker Tilly US, LLP, indicating that the audit did not identify any issues.

FY26 Financial Highlights

ICANN's funding increased compared to the prior year in line with domain name registrations. ICANN's operational expenses increased compared to the previous year based on planned expenditure increases included in the FY26 budget. ICANN demonstrated continued fiscal responsibility by maintaining operational expenses within its budget, despite higher available funding. ICANN's staffing level remained stable during FY26, beginning with 449 full-time employees and ending with 454.

Funds Under Management, which includes all cash on hand and investments, totaled $542 million at the end of FY26, an increase of $7 million since the beginning of the fiscal year, driven by investment gains and operating surplus, and partially offset by New Generic Top-Level Domains Program expenses and Grants Program disbursements.

Additional Reporting

ICANN publishes several annual and quarterly financial reports as part of its commitment to financial accountability and transparency. The latest versions of these reports are now available:

About ICANN

ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
