The next chapter of Maconomy is here. With the release of Maconomy DFME 2025.3, we're laying the foundation for a modernized, cloud-native future. This milestone marks the first step in a phased migration program that will bring Essentials and Flex customers into a new rhythm of quarterly updates-introducing not just fixes, but fresh functionality, usability improvements, and the latest innovations.

This isn't just another upgrade-it's the start of a new era for Maconomy.

Experience a Seamless Upgrade Path Without Disruption

With DFME 2025.3, migrations will begin across Essentials and Flex customers, ensuring smooth transitions:

  • Essentials customers will migrate in waves beginning with DFME 2025.3 and continue through DFME 2026.1.
  • Flex customers will join in the final wave, moving to DFME 2026.2.
  • People Planner customers will see a significant upgrade from version 4.2 to 4.8, unlocking a modern UI and performance improvements.
  • Business Objects remains on version 4.3.

Each migration includes notice, testing windows, and ongoing quarterly updates to ensure confidence and continuity.

Stay Ahead with Continuous Quarterly Innovation

Gone are the days of waiting 18-24 months for the next big feature drop. With this change:

  • Quarterly updates will bring both fixes and new functionality.
  • Customers will always remain on the latest supported version once migrated.
  • Until migration, customers will continue on version 2.6.1, receiving quarterly bug-fix releases.

This shift means a faster pace of innovation and greater agility for your teams.

Unlock Faster, Safer, and More Reliable Performance

Behind the scenes, Maconomy is being rebuilt on a cloud-native, containerized architecture-a transformation that improves performance and reliability without adding complexity for users. Benefits include:

  • Faster, safer upgrades with reduced downtime.
  • Dynamic scaling to handle peak demands.
  • Self-healing systems for improved stability.
  • Enhanced automation and monitoring.

The result: a more resilient and future-ready Maconomy experience.

Move to a Modern Web Client That Works the Way You Do

The Maconomy Web Client now covers 99% of Workspace Client functionality, and with DFME 2025.3 it becomes the primary interface for the future:

  • Enhanced usability, including dark mode and multi-role support.
  • Modernized design that improves daily workflows.
  • Retirement of the Workspace Client scheduled for Q4 2026, making early migration planning essential.

Each customer will:

  • Receive 4 weeks' notice before sandbox updates.
  • Have 2 weeks for testing before production upgrade.
  • Move into the new quarterly rhythm of feature updates once migrated.

Until migration, customers will remain on version 2.6.1 with quarterly bug-fix releases.
