Turner Construction and our project team partners recently celebrated a significant construction milestone with the topping out of the new Southeast Polk Community School District Transportation Maintenance Facility in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. The ceremony marked an exciting step forward for the approximately 19,000 sq. ft. project, which will provide the district with expanded space to support its transportation operations. The milestone also offered an opportunity to recognize the hard work, craftsmanship and collaboration of the project team and trade partners bringing this important facility to life.
The project includes a new 17,750 sq. ft. maintenance facility featuring dedicated bus and maintenance work bays, parts and fluid storage, restrooms and employee breakroom space. Additionally, a 1,300 sq. ft. expansion to the adjacent administrative facility and parking improvements will further enhance the district's transportation operations. Designed to support the team responsible for keeping Southeast Polk students moving safely and reliably, the new facility represents an investment in the district's long-term operational needs. Turner is proud to partner with Southeast Polk Community School District, RDG and its trade partners to deliver a facility that will serve the district and its community for years to come.
