Mr Orbán recalled: Hungary has shown that the path of war is not the only path you can follow, we have made it clear that we have nothing to do with this war.
He added: the option of peace exists and is viable, we have proved this. Hence the great many intelligence interferences and foreign interest; on Sunday, too, more than a thousand election observers will come to Hungary, he indicated.
"A nation can defend its freedom, independence and sovereignty, and may be able to follow a path in the future that it designates for itself. This is why we have become important, and we should be proud of this," he stressed.
He highlighted: the opponents competing in the campaign had the opportunity to show their true colours. "You cannot build a country, you cannot build a community and you cannot build a future on resentment, hatred and anger. We alone can build a future because we unwaveringly believe in the strength of love and unity," he said.
He also said today the United States is the most powerful country in the world. "If you have such a friend, your security is guaranteed," he observed, reminding his audience that the Americans have made it clear that the West is not the same as Brussels.
It was very important in this campaign that the Americans made it clear that Hungary is part of the West, he laid down. He recalled: "the Americans swept all the nonsense about friendship with the Russians off the table with a single sweep of the hand, and made it clear that they stand with us. The West is important for us, we'd like to thank the Americans for making this clear," he said.
Mr Orbán described the past four years as extremely unfair as we have been compelled to suffer due to troubles we are not responsible for.
He added: the government could have cited these external difficulties as excuses, but instead of this, they raised the minimum wage by 11 per cent even against the background of a 1 per cent growth, restored the thirteenth monthly pension, doubled the family tax benefit and provided tax exemption for mothers with two children.
He also pointed out that even in such a headwind Hungary had been able to provide jobs for everyone. Therefore, it is for a reason that the vast majority of the Roma community in Hungary stand with the government parties, he indicated, highlighting that the gentrification of the Roma world had never before made such strides in Hungarian history.
Regarding the future, Mr Orbán said some more unfair years may yet come, but the most important goal is for Hungary to stay out of the war.
We will win everywhere, we will score a victory with which we will surprise everyone, perhaps even ourselves, he stated.
He also said the camp of Fidesz-Christian Democratic People's Party was in the majority also six months ago, but a silent majority because they were somehow intimidated. The tolerant and peace-loving Hungarians who were not used to being threatened and blackmailed, and to having thugs set upon them, even if only in digital space, were scared and intimidated. "It was the job of this campaign to turn this silent majority into a loud majority, and today, we are a loud majority," the Prime Minister stated.
In his view, after the Peace March, they completed the work of the campaign as it is the task of the campaign to help the people, to tell them what will await them, what challenges are facing the nation, their families and themselves, and to tell them what the options are, and what the consequences of each of those decisions are. Fidesz and the Christian Democratic People's Party told the Hungarian people "clearly, in a straightforward manner" that peace was most at stake in these elections, and the citizens of Hungary had understood this, he said.
He stressed: we will not give our children, our money or our weapons to Ukraine. Hungary will remain an island of peace, and will be Europe's safest country after the elections as well.
In continuation, he said every Hungarian is likewise aware that it is also at stake in the elections whether we allow "the Hungarians to be pocketed." "Let me inform you that we won't," he laid down.
It is further at stake in the elections whether a patriotic or a pro-Ukraine government is formed, he added, promising that they will break Zelenskyy's oil blockade against Hungary. They will not support any decision favouring Ukraine in world politics until the Druzhba oil pipeline is reopened and we receive the energy necessary for the functioning of the country. "A credit blockade is the response to the oil blockade, we will win this battle," he pointed out.
Mr Orbán also spoke about the fact that in this campaign we had to live together with one more new phenomenon, namely the unprecedented extent of foreign interference. "Why have we become so important?" he asked the question, observing that neither the size of the Hungarian army, nor the volume of the Hungarian gross domestic product justifies this interest, while Hungary likewise has no conquering plans.
We are important because in the past ten or so years, Hungary has proved that it is possible to do things differently, not only the way they do them in Brussels and what they want to impose on us. "We are the ones who have shown that it is possible to stop the invasion of migrants, that it is possible to protect the borders of a nation. We have also shown," he said in continuation, "that we can also stand up for our families. We have a patriotic constitution protecting the family which has shown Brussels that there are still countries where the father is a man, the mother is a woman, and marriage is the union of one man and one woman," he observed.
We, the civic, patriotic and Christian community, are able to protect Hungary's interests and to stay out of wars, Mr Orbán stated. The Prime Minister said this requires three million votes.
He recalled: Hungary already had governments and leaders in the past who wanted to stay out of wars, but they did not succeed; neither István Tisza succeeded in World War I, nor did Miklós Horthy in World War II. They did not succeed because there was not enough national unity in Hungary, he pointed out.
Mr Orbán highlighted that in democracy, national unity can be created through election results. Therefore, if they have three million votes, "not even the gates of hell will be able to conquer us in the next four years."
He added: they will have three million votes on Sunday if everyone who shares the passion called Hungary and who attends the local campaign closing events of Fidesz and the Christian Democratic People's Party at similar venues combine their votes.
He also said no one should believe that young people are against the government parties, he has met with a great many young people who "don't fall for this fake news." The Prime Minister observed: he understands that young people like, know how to and want to rebel. "And there is something to rebel against, but that something is not us," he stressed.
If someone wants to rebel genuinely, with genuine stakes, significance and importance, today, they should rebel against Brussels, today, they should rebel against the global forces, they should join the patriotic government in order for us to defend Hungary's sovereignty and independence together, he said, encouraging young people to vote for the government parties.
"It is true that the past four years have been unfair, and I'm sure that today it's not easy to be a young person either. But just consider the fact that the government parties will not allow young people to be taken away to foreign countries as soldiers," he stated.
He added: in Hungary, there is an economic system which enables - and more than in any other country in Europe - young people to become home owners with the aid of the fixed three per cent credit programme.
Additionally, young people under the age of 25 do not pay income tax, ladies under the age of 30 with any number of children likewise pay no income tax, there are student loans for young people who want to study and worker loans for young people who want to work, he listed in continuation.
That Hungary is able to offer young people all these things today is thanks to those who are older, they made all this possible in order to make life easier for young people than it was for them. Respect to mothers and fathers, Mr Orbán stressed.
Speaking about whether the fact that the civic, patriotic and Christian side has governed for 16 years is an advantage or a disadvantage, the Prime Minister said the question is not whether there is room for young people in politics, including even at the very top of politics, but when is the right time for everything.
Today, we are living in an era of threats, Hungary is facing grave challenges: we must say no to the world's significant power groups in order to defend ourselves, and this requires knowledge, experience and routine, he indicated.
He added: this is not a time for taking chances, making changes, renewing things or going on adventures. At this time, we must protect and place in safety that which we have, and must take self-confident steps forward even against the headwind. This requires experience and knowledge which comes from many years of hard work.
Today, Hungary needs a safe choice, "and we, the living experience, are the safe choice," the Prime Minister said.
At the end of his speech, he thanked members of the electorate for their support, and for the fact that in the past few years, even in difficult moments, they have unwaveringly supported him and helped him through a number of difficult moments.
Mr Orbán stressed: there is no campaign blackout on election day. Therefore, he encouraged the attendees of the rally to rise early similar to himself, to cast their votes swiftly, and to go out mobilising.
