Comer Secures Over $4 Million in Funding for Hickman County Industrial Development Authority Business Commerce Building Project

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced that the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (H.R. 7148), recently passed by Congress, includes $4.05 million in federal funding to support Hickman County's construction of a business commerce center at the local industrial park, helping attract new industrial development and economic growth. This funding bill now advances to the U.S. Senate for consideration. Congressman Comer led efforts in Congress to secure funding for the Hickman County Industrial Development Authority's Business Commerce Building Project, which will promote local business retention and growth by providing a modern facility for businesses currently operating in deteriorating downtown structures.

"I'm proud to have worked with Hickman County leaders to secure federal funding that will support the construction of a new business commerce center, helping attract new industry and expand economic opportunities. Local businesses are the backbone of Hickman County and Kentucky's 1st Congressional District, and I will continue advocating in Congress to support their growth and success," said Congressman Comer.

"In Hickman County, we are grateful to Congressman James Comer for securing $4.05M in funding to construct eight new business offices in Enterprise Park in Clinton, Kentucky. This investment is a game changer for our community, as it will attract new opportunities, support economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for our community," said Hickman County Judge Executive, Kenny Wilson.
