Michigan City, Indiana - Janet Pasco, Market President of Oakland County, is pleased to announce Jeff Van Deusen as Vice President, Sr. Commercial Lender.

Working from Horizon's Troy, Michigan office, Van Deusen will focus on delivering exceptional service to current and prospective business clients by creating tailored lending and deposit solutions that meet their unique needs.

Van Deusen brings nearly 25 years of experience in commercial banking, with deep expertise in Commercial Real Estate Lending (CRE), C & I Lending, Working Capital Solutions, Purchase Order Financing, Equipment Financing, and Treasury Management Services. Throughout his career, he has partnered closely with small businesses and lower middle-market companies across a broad range of industries.

His primary focus includes operating companies and owner-occupied commercial real estate, with a particular affinity for serving Medical and Healthcare-related businesses, as well as Manufacturing companies, and Auto Industry related companies. Van Deusen supports large transaction sizes from business loans to complex financings.

Van Deusen brings more than 20 years of formal credit training through leading institutions. He began his banking career in a credit analysis role before advancing to Underwriter, developing a rigorous credit discipline and risk-focused approach that continues to guide his work today. He studied economics at the University of Rochester, where his academic work was guided by program director and mentor Charles Plosser, American economist and former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

Throughout his career, Van Deusen has been recognized multiple times for excellence in client service and performance, earning Client Service Awards, Leadership Awards, selection to Leadership Council, and Top Producer honors.
