Cleco encourages Louisiana organizations to apply for grants and volunteer support

Cleco Power is committed to giving back to Louisiana communities through volunteerism and charitable giving.

Charitable organizations across Cleco's 24-parish service territory are encouraged to apply for funds and request volunteers through the company's online giving and volunteering portal.

"In 2024, Cleco supported over 600 organizations across Louisiana through corporate donations," said Jennifer Cahill, director of corporate communications at Cleco. "And our employees volunteered over 4,600 hours and gave back approximately $180,000 to the Louisiana communities we serve."

Cleco accepts donation and volunteer requests from charitable organizations whose mission aligns with one or more of the company's giving priorities, including STEM programs, education, youth, health and wellness, low income and diversity. 

Louisiana organizations can apply for funds and register their cause through Cleco's online giving portal at www.cleco.com/community.

Cleco also offers volunteer support in the Central Louisiana, Acadiana and Northshore regions throughout the year on charitable projects. Organizations can request volunteer support by emailing [email protected].
