UNM's BBER presents the 27th Annual New Mexico Data Users Conference

The Data Bank at The University of New Mexico's Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) invites you to register and attend its 27th annual New Mexico Data Users Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Come enjoy a day of learning, sharing, and networking around data. Both local New Mexico data and U.S. Census Bureau data will be covered.

The Data Users Conference is New Mexico's premier forum for both beginning and professional data users in the state and surrounding areas. Anyone who is working on a grant, doing economic development, working with Census data, or doing research will benefit. It is a valued learning experience for private businesses, government agencies, service organizations, information providers, researchers, and students all across New Mexico.

This year's conference will feature presentation topics including:

  • New Mexico Population Estimates and Projections delivered by UNM Geospatial Population Studies' Robert Rhatigan and Jacqueline A. Miller;
  • BBER's director, Michael O'Donnell, will present a review of New Mexico's recent economic performance and a short-term economic outlook during lunch;
  • New Mexico Labor Market Information delivered by Economic Research and Analysis at the N.M. Department of Workforce Solutions;
  • Tax Data by NM Tax and Revenue Department;
  • Healthcare Systems Data, All Payers Claims Database presented by NM Department of Health;
  • NM Department of Higher Education on tools and resources for education data.
  • Mapping and GIS Resources with Shawn Penman, UNM Earth Data Analysis Center;
  • Traffic Crash Data and Mapping from UNM Geospatial and Population Studies;
  • NM DOT Planning Maps;
  • AI updates from Todd Quinn, UNM Business Librarian.
  • Census Data Basics, Suzan Reagan Bureau of Business and Economic Research.

Registration is now open at different pricing tiers. From Oct. 1 through Nov. 7, registration is $80 per person. Last-minute registration, including the day of, is $90 per person.
