The University of Charleston Board of Trustees has elected Dave Ramsey as Chair of the University's governing board, succeeding Greg Burton, whose term as Chair concluded this summer.
Ramsey has served on the University of Charleston Board of Trustees for many years and recently retired as President and CEO of Vandalia Health.
Joining Ramsey in Board leadership, Nancy Bruns, CEO of J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works, will serve as Vice Chair, and Jennie Ferretti, a retired attorney, will continue serving as Secretary. In addition, five new trustees were elected to serve three-year terms: Troy Giatras, Mike Graney, Tommy Orcutt, Dr. Greg Rosencrance and Jeff Sandene.
"The University of Charleston has long benefited from an exceptional Board of Trustees," UC President Marty Roth said. "This group is committed to our institution's success, and their leadership, expertise, networks, and support have played an important role in UC's growth. Dave knows this University well and brings tremendous experience to his new role as Chair. I look forward to working with him as we build on that momentum and to welcoming Troy, Mike, Tommy, Greg and Jeff to the Board."
"At the same time, we are deeply grateful to Greg Burton, Paul White, Michael Cary and David Gallagher as they conclude their terms on the Board. Each has given generously of their time and expertise to UC, and we are grateful for the role they have played in helping move the University forward."
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the University of Charleston and is responsible for its educational mission and fiscal policies.
