Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) filed TA575-18, proposing to add curtailment provisions in its tariff. Specifically, MEA proposes a definition for curtailment, outlines procedures for implementing curtailment and rolling service interruptions (RSI), establishes how information pertaining to active curtailments will be disseminated, and proposes a demand charge adjustment for demand-based customers affected by RSIs. MEA also identifies which members are exempt from RSIs, including hospitals, MEA headquarters, and certain sizable alternative energy generation resources.
This notice does not contain all requested revisions, and the Commission may approve a rate or classification, which varies from those proposed.
