WASHINGTON, DC - The House has passed H.R. 7567, the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, or the 2026 Farm Bill, by a vote of 224-200, with strong support from Congressman David Rouzer (R-NC-07). "Passage of the 2026 Farm Bill is a major win for America's farm families, rural communities, and our nation's food security, which is a key component of our national security," said Congressman Rouzer. "Agriculture is our state's number one industry, contributing $113 billion to our state's economy. The Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 comes at a critical time for our nation's farm families. I look forward to the Senate's consideration in order to get these enhancements signed into law." Agriculture is North Carolina's top industry and curretly contributes more than $113 billion to our state's economy.
