Speedway Saturdays Tournament Now Open for Registration

Get ready to cruise down Rainbow Road and throw some red shells at your opponents! Registration is now open for Speedway Saturdays.

Parents and guardians can now register their children for this monthly Mario Kart tournament, with individual sign-ups required each month. Separate registration links are available for each age group, and all registrations must be completed at least 24 hours before the event.

The competition is open to students enrolled in grades K-12 (including registered homeschooled students) for the 2025-2026 school year and will be held twice each month. One Saturday each month will feature the Kids Tournament for participants under age 13, and the other will be a Teens Tournament for participants age 13-18. The cost to participate is $20 per child, per tournament day.

The first official competition will take place on Saturday, August 16 (Kids Tournament). All tournaments will be held at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Our Parks and Recreation team is always looking for fresh and creative ways to inspire and engage the young people of our city," said Vice Mayor Kathleen Taylor. "I'm truly excited to see our young people participating in this event, building connections, having fun, and creating lasting memories outside of school."
