District 2 Commissioner Rowland Sworn Into Office on Tuesday, Jan. 7 to Begin Second Full Four-Year Term

District 2 Monroe County Commissioner Eddie Rowland was officially sworn into office for a second full term at the first Board of Commissioners meeting of the new year on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

Monroe County Probate Judge Donna Robins administered the oath of office to Rowland, who was accompanied by his wife, Kathy Rowland, who held the Bible during the ceremony, and his mother, Joyce Rowland.

Rowland took office in April 2017 after winning a six-person special election to replace late District 2 Commissioner Jim Ham. Rowland was subsequently re-elected in 2020 and again in 2024 to new four-year terms.
