CCU Men's Cross Country Secures Top-10 National Finish at NCAA Championships
Colorado Christian University is celebrating a landmark achievement as the CCU men's cross country team earned a top-10 national finish at the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Cougars closed the season ranked among the top programs in the nation, marking one of the strongest competitive years in school history.
Led by senior standout Matthew Storer, who placed 28th overall with a time of 30:31.1 to earn All-American honors, the Cougars delivered a unified and disciplined performance on the national stage. "Cross country nationals provides not only the highest national stage for us to compete on but also a platform to share how we live for Christ. Win or lose, we have the choice to act in love before, during, and after the race. I believe our talents and efforts have shown that we are one of the most competitive teams in the nation and a team with a joy that is out of this world."
Storer was joined by teammates Mateo Luna, Caleb Hershey, Klay Grant, Tyler Scholl, Noah Lambers, and Alex Vance, whose collective efforts propelled the Cougars to their second-highest national finish in program history. This is the men's 6th consecutive appearance competing at Nationals.
