Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6400 South Lake Houston Parkway

January 13, 2025- Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6400 South Lake Houston Parkway about 7:25 p.m. last Friday (January 10).

The identity of the deceased female, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Northeast Patrol Division officers reported:

The female was driving a black Jeep Cherokee northbound near the above address and, as she turned westbound (left), struck a gray Mitsubishi Outlander traveling southbound on South Lake Houston Parkway.

Paramedics transported the female to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation indicates it appears the female failed to yield the right of way when making the turn.

The female driver, 42, and a female passenger, 13, in the Mitsubishi were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
