Political Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and China

On 12 June 2026, political consultations were held in Dushanbe between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. The consultations were led by Mr. Idibek Kalandar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Liu Bin Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, also particular attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, attracting investment, and enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture.

The parties also discussed issues of multilateral cooperation, including within international and regional organizations, and reaffirmed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation within these frameworks.
