Granville Man Charged in Contractor Fraud Case
According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Jonathan A. Lagreze, age 43, of Granville, following an investigation into a contractor fraud complaint in the Village of Whitehall. Lagreze was hired to complete residential work and accepted payment but failed to start or finish any of the agreed-upon tasks.
Investigators charged Lagreze with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class D felony.
He was arraigned at Centralized Arraignment and released on his own recognizance. Lagreze will appear in Whitehall Village Court at a later date.
The case was handled by members of the Road Patrol and Investigation Division.
