Son of Dolce Hotels and Resorts founder brings 34 years of deal-making and operator experience to drive portfolio expansion as Lodging Dynamics builds on 400% growth in total portfolio revenue since 2021.
Lodging Dynamics, an award-winning hotel management company that pairs its Hoteliers at Heartâ„¢ culture with a disciplined focus on revenue, profit and long-term asset value, announced today the appointment of Danny Dolce as senior vice president of business development. With 34 years of experience in hospitality real estate and management contract acquisition, Dolce will lead the expansion of Lodging Dynamics' third-party management portfolio, focusing on luxury, premium-branded and full-service hotels in destination-driven markets.
The appointment comes during a period of sustained expansion for Lodging Dynamics, which has grown 400% in total portfolio revenue since Jamie Caraher became president and chief executive officer in 2021. "Owners want an operator who understands their investment as well as their hotel," said Caraher. "Danny learned this business inside an operating company, then spent more than three decades earning the trust of owners, lenders and investors. That combination is rare. He knows what it takes to run a hotel well and what an owner needs from the operator they hire, and that is exactly the conversation we want to be having as we grow."
Dolce is the son of Andrew J. Dolce, founder of Dolce Hotels and Resorts, and brings an operator's perspective to every deal. He has built a track record of securing third-party agreements across a diverse range of hospitality assets, including historic estates, mountain resorts and conference centers serving Fortune 500 clients. During his tenure with Dolce Hotels and Resorts, he helped double the company's third-party management portfolio from 12 to 24 hotels in four years. More recently, while at AD1 Hospitality, he secured management of Tarrytown House Estate, a historic property in metro New York producing more than $20 million in total revenue, and Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah, near Park City and Deer Valley, also a $20 million-plus revenue property.
"Every owner comes to the table with different objectives, and our job is to understand those priorities, align with them and work toward the returns they are seeking," said Dolce. "I grew up watching my father build an operating company, so I look at every deal from both sides of the table. What drew me to Lodging Dynamics is the combination of an experienced team, an owner-focused approach and the flexibility to pursue opportunities creatively. The ability to invest alongside owners further aligns our interests from day one. I am excited to bring my background and relationships to the team and help shape what comes next for Lodging Dynamics."
Dolce has held senior positions with AD1 Hospitality, M&R Hotel Group, Pyramid Hotel Group, Millennium Hotels and Resorts and Dolce Hotels and Resorts. He has also served on advisory groups affiliated with the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), EMC Venues and Cvent, with a focus on corporate group meetings and training. Dolce holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Drexel University. He remains engaged in mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals by providing guidance to students pursuing careers in the industry at Drexel University and Montclair State University.
