Notice of Public Information Meeting for Glenwood Road Bridge Replacement Project

(TOWN OF VESTAL , NY) - The Broome County Department of Public Works will hold a Public Information Meeting regarding the Glenwood Road over Choconut Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

This project is currently in the preliminary design phase and proposes replacing the existing bridge carrying Glenwood Road over Choconut Creek with a new structure that is longer, taller, and wider to meet current design standards. Construction is anticipated during the summer months of 2027.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Vestal Volunteer Fire Station #2, located at 2517 State Route 26, Vestal, NY 13850.

Representatives from the Department of Public Works will be present to provide an overview of the project, including the proposed timeline and any temporary impacts, and to answer questions from the public.
