West Washington Street Intersection Closure Begins September 8
Beginning on Monday, September 8, West Washington Street, at the intersection of South Greene Street, will be closed weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm until Friday, September 26. The closure is due to waterline work as part of the Greene Street streetscape project.
Please note that work will stop and the road will reopen by 4 pm on Thursday, September 11, in preparation for the North Carolina Folk Festival. Work will resume at 9 am on Monday, September 15.
Motorists should expect delays around the work area and use alternate routes.
Work schedules depend on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
