On December 12 2025, Ambassador Xu Feihong was invited to attend the "India-China Business Summit 2025" hosted by the Global India Business Forum (GIBF) and delivered a keynote speech.
Ambassador Xu noted that the business communities of China and India have long served as a key driving force for the steady growth of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. At this critical juncture when China-India relations are improving, China's 15th Five-Year Plan outlines major strategic tasks such as promoting high-standard opening up, sending a clear message of China's commitment to sharing development opportunities with all partners. China stands ready to work with India to improve global economic governance, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and inject strong impetus into the development of the Global South. As ancient Eastern civilizations and major developing countries, China and India enjoy highly complementary industrial strengths. The two sides should better align development strategies, jointly advance their modernization endeavors, and expand the pie of common interests to deliver greater benefits to the two peoples. China is ready to deepen practical cooperation with India and bring more tangible outcomes to both countries and peoples.
During the summit, representatives from the India-China Chamber of Commerce and enterprises from both countries shared cooperation experiences and engaged in interactive discussions on business opportunities and market prospects. Promotional videos of the China International Import Expo and the Canton Fair were also presented, showcasing China's open platforms and expanding market opportunities. Over 200 participants attended the event, including Chintamani Maharaj, a Member of Parliament from the Surguja constituency in India, and Pradeep Gandhi, a former Member of Parliament from the Rajnandgaon constituency, Minister Guo Ce, Counsellor Song Bo and young diplomats from the Embassy, as well as representatives of Chinese and Indian businesses and media.
