Celebrate Story Time for Little Historians at the Alexandria Black History Museum — This Saturday!

Celebrate Story Time for Little Historians at the Alexandria Black History Museum - This Saturday!

Join Oumie, your favorite Fulani storyteller, this Saturday, December 13th at 10 a.m.at the Alexandria Black History Museum!

This month, Oumie will lead a fun and engaging introduction to "Kwanzaa" -the seven-day celebration honoring African heritage, community, and culture. Children will enjoy interactive storytelling, call-and-response learning, and a creative craft inspired by the seven principles of Kwanzaa.

This interactive story-time invites children to read, reflect, and imagine alongside Oumie - discovering that their own stories matter too.

Perfect for ages 5-10, Storytime mixes history, culture, and imagination-where learning is always an adventure!

Come early, bring your curiosity, and let's make history together - one story at a time!

Story Time takes place in the Museum's Parker-Gray Gallery and brings important history to life through engaging stories and creative activities.

Story Time for Little Historians happens every second Saturday of the month, so mark your calendar and make it a monthly tradition!
