City, CCISD Officials Honorarily Name Veterans Memorial Parkway

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - City officials and Corpus Christi Independent School District representatives gathered on Monday to officially designate "Veterans Memorial Parkway" as the honorary street name along Cimarron Boulevard, between Yorktown Boulevard and Saratoga Boulevard.

Mayor Paulette Guajardo and City Council approved a motion authorizing the designation at the October 15 meeting following a request from CCISD Superintendent Roland Hernandez to mark Veterans Memorial High School's 10th anniversary.

The City's Public Works Department installed signs bearing the honorary street name of "Veterans Memorial Parkway" today.

The designation is "honorary," so the street segment and signs will still bear the official name of Cimarron Boulevard, and the change will not impact property addresses.
