Overnight paving on Honoapi'ilani Highway to close one lane in Olowalu
Posted on Sep 28, 2026 in Highways News, Main, NewsKAHULUI, Hawai'i - The Hawai'i Department of Transportation (HDOT) is notifying motorists that one lane on Honoapi'ilani Highway (Route 30) will be closed at mile marker 14 for paving and striping of a section of the roadway damaged from Hurricane Lowell.
The closure in Olowalu will be for two nights from 10 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29 to 6 a.m., Wednesday Sept. 30 and from 10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30 to 6 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 1. Traffic will be alternated in the open lane.
Please obey all traffic controls and drive safely around the workers.
