ComEd Utility Expansion at Rand Road and Union Pacific Railroad

ComED will start construction at Rand Road and the Union Pacific Railroad crossing on Wednesday, October 8. Work is expected to finish by Friday, October 24.
Starting at 9 a.m. on October 8, Rand Road will be closed to all traffic at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing just northwest of Graceland Avenue. The project includes installing multiple electrical manholes and duct packages to support utility expansion. A posted detour will direct drivers to use Golf Road and Des Plaines River Road.
