Yasu, who joined in February as a video editor based in Los Angeles, works closely with video journalists and producers, editing video across news, enterprise and investigative journalism.
Most recently, Yasu was the lead editor and co-producer for Hulu's six-part documentary series "Born to Be Viral," following the lives of kidfluencers on social media. Before that, he was a senior editor and producer for CBS News Reports, covering topics from environmental and immigration issues to extremist groups and foreign policy.
Yasu was also an editor for NatGeo's "Trafficked with Mariana Van Zeller," ABC News Studios, Netflix, and Vice, among other outlets. At Fusion Network, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for a documentary featuring the use of solitary confinement in juvenile detention centers in the South.
Originally from California, Yasu spent seven years in New York before returning to the West Coast.
