Kirkland Advises General Catalyst’s HATCo on Completion of Summa Health Acquisition

Kirkland & Ellis advised General Catalyst's Health Assurance Transformation Company (HATCo) on the closing of its acquisition of Summa Health, one of the largest integrated healthcare delivery systems in Ohio. Completion of the transaction was announced on October 1, 2025.

Summa Health employs more than 8,500 employees across the system. HATCo's significant investment will ensure the sustainability of the system while also enabling strategic, transformative initiatives and innovation. HATCo is a platform created by global investment and transformation company General Catalyst to transform health systems into resilient, vibrant organizations.
