Dentons advises promissory note creditors of automotive supplier Huf on completion of restructuring

May 16, 2025

Berlin-Global law firm Dentons has advised the promissory note holders of automotive supplier Huf on the successful completion of the company's restructuring.

Dentons had already represented this group of creditors in 2019 in the development of a comprehensive financing concept and the implementation of the automotive supplier's restructuring plan and had since been entrusted with the tasks of bond representative in accordance with the new contract documentation.

With the completion of Sodecia's investor entry, the restructuring of Huf has now been successfully completed: Part of the promissory note loans have been repaid, while the remaining promissory note creditors have extended their loans.

The Huf Group is a leading global automotive supplier of mechanical and electronic locking systems as well as access and authorization systems. The family-owned company is based in Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia, and has locations in Europe, America, and Asia.

Advisors to the promissory note creditors:

Dentons (Berlin):

Restructuring: Andreas Ziegenhagen (Partner), Dr. Detlef Spranger, Philippa Münnich-Winter (Berlin, both Counsel), Konrad Böning, Felix Könner (Berlin, both Associates).
