Ambassador of Belarus V.Barchuk meets First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba
13 March 2026On March 12, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba, Vitali Barchuk, met with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba and Co-Chairman of the Belarusian-Cuban Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Carlos Luis Jorge Mendez.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Cuban trade and economic cooperation. Mutual readiness to expand existing mechanisms and develop new forms of interaction was reaffirmed. The progress in implementing current agreements between Belarus and Cuba in the fields of industry, agriculture, and food production was reviewed.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the possible dates for the next meeting of the Belarusian-Cuban Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Following the negotiations, key areas for joint work in the near future were identified.
