Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani

Ambassador Yu stated that Nigeria is an influential African power and a key member of the Global South. China has always approached the development of relations with Nigeria from a strategic and long-term perspective. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, comprehensive bilateral cooperation has yielded remarkable achievements, and the relationship has gone beyond the bilateral sphere, gaining increasing global significance. China stands ready to work hand in hand with Nigeria to enhance synergy between the "Ten Partnership Plans" under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and Nigeria' s "Renewed Hope Agenda," explore the full potential for cooperation in areas such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, and jointly benefit from shared digital progress.

Minister Tijani expressed Nigeria' s appreciation for China' s developmental achievements in digital infrastructure, technological innovation, and other fields. He affirmed Nigeria' s willingness to strengthen cooperation and experience-sharing with China, particularly in the digital economy and capacity building, thereby harnessing digital innovation to empower Nigeria's economic development.
