To ask the Minister for National Development (a) what is the present status of the Government's plans to create a new Western Island through the reclamation and merging of Pulau Semakau, Pulau Bukom, Pulau Sudong and other islands; and (b) whether the Government can provide an indicative timeline for the key stages of feasibility studies, planning, reclamation and development.

To ask the Minister for National Development (a) what is the Government's preliminary vision for the size, intended uses and development intensity of the proposed western island; and (b) what proportion of the reclaimed land is presently expected to be allocated for industrial, energy, defence and other uses.
