High school and college students around the state can apply now to be part of an immersive program for young leaders at the 2026 Summer Research Institute, hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience (CTAHR). The program has expanded to offer experiential learning and professional development to students on Oʻahu, Maui, Molokaʻi, Hawaiʻi Island, and Kauaʻi.
Students interested in the science of food systems, community resilience, and stewardship of ʻāina are encouraged to apply for this competitive summer cohort.
"We are inviting students from across these five islands to join us this summer for a transformative experience," said CTAHR Dean Parwinder Grewal. "Students can learn, lead, and innovate right where they live."
