Bowling Green, OH- The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is excited to invite the community to Simpson Garden Park to help prepare the lilies for winter. Participants will help to divide and cut back the daylilies at Simpson Garden Park (1291 Conneaut Avenue) 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 25.
All necessary tools will be provided at this free event. Weather/ gardening appropriate clothing is encouraged. In the event of inclement weather, a rain date will be held 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 26.
Daylilies are separated and cut back at the end of the season to prevent overcrowding and to create new plants through propagation. Overcrowding can result in less resources for each plant, reducing the number of beautiful blooms you see. Join us to support Simpson Garden Park while also taking home a piece for your garden.
For more information or to register, email Adessa Miller. Spots will fill up quickly! Don't miss this chance to bring a piece of Simpson Garden Park to your home!
