Following the January 3 compound flooding and severe storms, the County of Marin issued an Emergency Proclamation after sustaining approximately $4.35 million in damages. This allows the County to seek state and federal reimbursement through Cal OES and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Marin has now met state and federal thresholds for Individual Assistance through a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Physical Disaster Declaration tied to early January King Tides and flooding. As a result, low-interest disaster loans are available to eligible homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofits.
The deadlines for application are April 6, 2026, for physical damages and November 3, 2026, for economic injury. If you need assistance applying for SBA loans, Disaster Loan Outreach Centers will be open now through March 3.
