Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today that a 23-year-old man has pleaded guilty for his role in a shooting that sent a woman to the hospital.

Felipe Ermolenko pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class D armed violent felony, in front of the Honorable William Little.

On Sept. 2, 2022, Albany Police allege Ermolenko fired several rounds from a 9 mm handgun at a vehicle just after midnight in the area of Manning Boulevard and Lark Drive. A 23-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her left shoulder, just below her neck, and survived after being transported to Albany Medical Center.

Ermolenko will face a state prison term of up to seven years when he is sentenced on Aug. 19.

Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Jessica Blain-Lewis is prosecuting the case.
