The Baldwin County Commission announces that 66 miles of roads were resurfaced and 3 miles of dirt roads were paved across Baldwin County in 2025. These annual paving efforts are critical to preserving and maintaining the County's more than 1,400 miles of roadway infrastructure.
"We continuously invest in our transportation system to ensure residents have safe and reliable roadways, both now and into the future," said District 1 Commissioner James "Jeb" Ball.
Each year, the Baldwin County Commission awards multiple resurfacing contracts that are supplemented by in-house paving projects performed by the Baldwin County Highway Department. This approach allows the County to address future transportation needs while continuing to maintain existing roadways.
Planning for 2026 resurfacing projects is already underway, with paving activities expected to continue throughout the year.
