NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (March 4, 2026) - History is often written in the grand strokes of national movements, but this March, the Friends of the New Brunswick Free Public Library are narrowing the lens to celebrate the powerhouse women who built, led, and transformed The Hub City.
On March 7 at 11 a.m., the library at 60 Livingston Ave. will host a special seminar titled "Trailblazing Women of New Brunswick." Led by Principal Librarian Jacquelyn Oshman, the event promises a deep dive into the local figures who didn't just witness history-they made it.
The narrative will span over a century of progress, beginning with the fierce local activists of the suffragette movement and continuing through to the modern leaders breaking barriers in the City today.
Attendees can expect to hear the untold stories of New Brunswick's firsts. Please
RSVP for the event here.
