Rep. John McGuire hosts EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin for Fifth District tour

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - On Friday, Representative John McGuire (VA-05) hosted Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin for a Fifth District tour.

The visit included a tour of Edgehill Farm and the 10-acre riparian forest buffer restoration project, in Charlottesville. Following the tour, the Congressman and Administrator visited Overhome Farm, a 292-acre cow and calf operation known for their efforts in conservation and soil health, in Crozier.

"From farms to factories, Virginia's Fifth District is home to incredible businesses providing everything from vegetables to energy, not just for the Commonwealth, but the country," said Rep. John McGuire (VA-05). "While these groups work hard to provide, it is crucial they are doing so in a clean and safe manner. I appreciated the opportunity to host Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin for a visit to see the district's efforts to keep both the people and our beautiful environment safe while providing valuable resources."

"It was great to be back in Virginia with Congressman McGuire and witness firsthand the innovative farming practices at Edgehill and Overhome," said Administrator Zeldin. "Both these farms do essential work to preserve their land and environment while also feeding Virginia and helping power the Ag economy. I look forward to continue working alongside Congressman McGuire to protect our environment and Power the Great American Comeback."
