Homicide Suspect Charged In Strangulation Death Of Girlfriend On Brittany Park Drive

Homicide Unit detectives and the Kentucky State Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Darrion Young, 37, who is now named in a criminal homicide warrant for the murder of his girlfriend, Kierra Timmons, 26, inside Young's apartment on Brittany Park Drive in Antioch.

Timmons' body was found Saturday morning after officers joined two of her friends at the apartment for a welfare check. The cause of death is strangulation.

The discovery of Timmons' body came after Kentucky State Police Friday night discovered her red Dodge Charger abandoned on an I-24 bridge that crosses the Cumberland River. The engine was running, the driver's door was open, and the hazard flashers were on. Young's driver license was found inside the vehicle.

Young was last seen in Nashville earlier Friday, hours before the car was discovered. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that Young may have jumped into the river.

Anyone seeing Darrion Young or having information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
